7% Cover the Fee

  • The arts animate our community, bringing people together to share common experiences, stimulating our imaginations, and fostering a rich and varied quality of life. In Elk Rapids, we are fortunate to have a lively mix of music, theatre, dance, and visual arts.

    Actively supporting the arts in Elk Rapids is Art Rapids!, a non-profit organization founded in 2006 by a group of arts-minded citizens. The group set about organizing a juried art fair on the shores of Grand Traverse Bay; the event now attracts more than 4,000 visitors each year.

    The art fair has expanded to include several outreach programs including:

    • Summer Art Camp for children

    • Community arts events

    • Gifts of art and concerts to the community, including the Walk of Art Sculpture Gallery

  • With the help of art-enthusiasts and community members like you, Art Rapids! can continue to support the art education of young people and deliver quality arts programming to the entire community. Your gifts in the form of an annual donation are greatly appreciated and welcomed.
